When we think of whales we think of large aquatic mammals. Generally they are not the most elegant or flamboyant creatures however they have their own charm. Often they are linked to a nautical theme. I am always reminded of a trip to Sea World Florida when I was younger where there was a whale called Shamu. To create your own Whale haven there are many things you can do with Whale Scrapbook Paper.
Designing your Own Cards using Whale Scrapbook Paper
This is easy to do with many designs out there you can use. Take a look at digitalpapershop.com which has many different designs. My own personal favourite is a sympathy card using your whale scrapbook paper to feature a cheerful whale with the slogan “Get Whale Soon.”
This is enough to lift the spirits of anyone feeling a little under the weather. Other card ideas are birthday cards for children or adults alike as stated before we all have fond memories to remind us of our Shamu days. Much like the series Flipper the dolphin was a favourite of the past or Lassie the dog, Shamu the whale is up there as a favourite animal of mine.
Using Whale Scrapbook Paper to Decorate
Is your child`s bedroom looking a little old and tired? Why not spruce it up with a nautical theme using your whale scrapbook paper as a key feature. Alongside ships ahoy, anchors and dolphins in the deep blue sea a pod of whales could take centre stage.
It`s pretty simple to update many pieces of furniture by using your specially themed scrapbook paper. Simply use a suitable adhesive to glue your paper to the furniture, for example a bedside table. When the glue has dried for longevity afterwards use clear varnish to paint over the paper giving a fabulous unique upcycled piece of furniture.
How to Make Bunting using Whale Scrapbook Paper
Bunting is a creative way to liven up any room, I think whale bunting would look great to match along with your child`s nautical themed bedroom. Just follow these simple steps and away you go.
You will need:
- Whale Scrapbook Paper
- Hanging hooks
Simply cut your cardboard into triangles any size you wish however all matching. Next cover and glue your whale scrapbook paper to the triangles creating a fabulous fishy effect. When the glue is dry prick holes in the corner of each triangle and thread the string through each hole. Now you have your bunting use the hanging hooks to attach to the ceiling and voila your very own whale bunting.
Gift Wrap Using Whale Scrapbook Paper
The Christmas season is here which means for most of us lots more wrapping gifts than usual. For a change from the usual Christmas tree or Santa this year why not stick with a theme and put your Shamu paper to good use. And of course don`t forget the gift tags.
Hopefully this has given you lots of ideas so take a look at digitalpapershop.com and get creative.
